Exceptional amenities and hospitality made our stay worthwhile.
The private bath's hinoki wood felt a bit unclean with moss buildup. The atmosphere during meals was overly serious. we expected some lively ambiance. Also, for those not familiar with Japanese cuisine, the meals might be quite challenging to enjoy.

Surprised in the best way!
The warm welcome and exceptional service set the tone for an unforgettable experience. The spacious suite included a private open-air onsen with stunning views. Dinner was a culinary masterpiece with a delightful seven-course kaiseki that left my taste buds dancing. Each morning brought a breakfast feast that was simply breathtaking.

Our group had a fantastic time! The staff were unbelievably attentive, and the onsen experiences were out of this world. We had a beautiful traditional breakfast and dinner featuring seasonal specialties—don't miss their sweet treats! If you have time, check out the nearby Nishiyama Park for some fresh air and nature vibes. Overall, everything was cozy and welcoming.
The only downside was our transportation. we had to call a taxi since the shuttle didn't align with our schedule, making it less convenient for us.

The private onsen was the perfect retreat.

i almost considered giving a good review, but the lack of things to do beyond eating was just disappointing. i mean, who wants a quiet dinner with no ambiance? the private bath could use a serious cleaning too, as moss build-up isn’t cute, and don’t even get me started on the welcome service or lack thereof.

My stay at Kyo Yunohana Resort Suisen was an unforgettable experience. The suite was incredibly spacious, featuring a massage chair and a balcony with breathtaking views of the mountain forest. The private open-air onsen was a perfect retreat after a long day. Dinner was an exquisite multi-course meal that was not only delicious but beautifully presented. Breakfast was equally impressive, with a variety of dishes that left us completely satisfied.
There wasn't much to do beyond the hotel facilities.

Really good, Really good, Really good
My two nights in a spacious Superior Double Room with Open-Air Bath were beyond my wildest dreams! I found bliss in my private wooden onsen on the balcony where the sounds of nature became my soundtrack while sippin' on delicious Nihonshu. And don't even get me started on dinner! The Kaiseki on the first night was a culinary art piece that set my taste buds dancing, while breakfast left me glowing with happiness and fullness.
